“Ken and Michelle of Cedar Falls Automotive are the only people that I trust to care for my family’s vehicles. Their prices are very reasonable, their service is top notch (honestly the best customer service I’ve ever gotten from an automotive repair company), and they have a completely no BS approach to diagnosing issues. Even better, if you have multiple issues on your vehicle they’ll help you prioritize which ones to tackle first. This is so refreshing to deal with instead of the usual “panic you into repairs” that so many other repair places use. Most recently my in-laws were visiting from out of state. My father in-law was complaining about an oil leak from the valve cover gasket, being the DIY guy that I am I ordered up a set of gaskets and prepared to dig in…boy, was I in for a rude awakening. The engine bay layout was done by a king of puzzles, just to get to the valve covers you had to remove 3 or 4 layers of parts that are wholly unrelated. Nope, not really a DIY effort unless you were a mechanic in a previous life. Out comes the cell phone and a quick call to Ken and Michelle. They had us on the schedule in no time and since it was being dealt with by a professional I had them go ahead and replace the timing belts and other service items that had been neglected. Michelle even called a few weeks later to make sure that my in-laws had made it home safely and that there were no issues with the repair that they’d performed. Stuff like this is what keeps me coming back.”

“Five Stars Doesn’t Do Them Justice!”
“Returning back to the East side of the state from a weekend with my fiance’ on San Juan island, my alternator went out just after dark going up Snoqualmie pass.  I made it to the top checked into a hotel and starting searching online for a repair shop that was close.  I found Cedar Falls, read some reviews and then called and left a message thinking I would get a call in the morning being that it was after 8:15.  Within 10 minutes I received a call from Michelle.  I explained the situation and she couldn’t wait to help.  She recommended a towing company and we arranged to have my truck dropped off to her between 6 and 7 the next morning.  The tow truck showed up a little after 6 and had to her within an hour or so (25 miles away).  She called me back at 8:30 told me what the issues were, what the cost was and that it would be ready in about an hour or so.  They had my vehicle finished and ready to go in less than two hours and her and her husband Ken even delivered to us, 25 miles away at no charge so we could get back on the road.  Michelle and Ken went above and beyond what customer service and professionalism are.  They were helpful, courteous, accommodating, and most important, honest and fair.  Thanks again!”

“We have 3 different vehicles, all have been worked on (brake pads, rotors, oil changes, check engine light of doom) at Cedar Falls Automotive. Customer service is superior. Service prices are ultra-reasonable. If you want or need expert advise for your automotive needs, Cedar Falls Automotive is an exact fit. Pricing=A Customer service=A Quality of service=A Location=A Knowledge=A Friendliness=A Atmosphere=A Overall, looks like an “A”.”

“My turbo went out on my Subaru just outside North Bend.  I Googled ‘automotive repair north bend’ and found Cedar Falls Automotive.  The reviews were excellent and I can say well deserved.  The estimate was done quickly and the repair was done earlier than promised and spot on the estimated price.  Ken and Michelle have earned the good reviews.”

I would HIGHLY recommend Cedar Falls Automotive to anyone who needs a good repair facility!!! During a recent weekend, I was traveling with my family to Eastern Washington, and had just gotten off Hwy 18 when my truck made this huge noise under the hood, and the engine started running rough. I stopped at a local gas station, called around, and was referred to Cedar Falls Automotive. It was late in the evening on a Saturday, and they were the only ones to answer my call. They heard the noise over the phone, and gave me directions on how to find them. Once there, they got right to work on repairing what turned out to be a spark plug that had popped out of its hole, and had us fixed in just a couple of hours at a very reasonable price. They saved our vacation! Thank you so much, Cedar Falls Automotive!”

“Just wanted to leave a quick note on how grateful I am to have found these folks.  They are honest, friendly and incredibly helpful.  My truck’s alternator was going out as I drove to their shop.  Unfortunately it died at the top of their driveway.  They gave it a jump start and pulled it in for service.  I was in and out in a couple hours.  They rule!  I will feel completely comfortable recommending them to all my friends and family.

“We are very fortunate in North Bend to have Ken and Michelle’s Cedar Falls Automotive close by.  Ken has been my mechanic for many years, and I feel lucky to have him available.  He is willing to maintain all my vehicles, including Fords, Nissans, Volkswagens, and Subarus, and does a great job with routine maintenance as well as major repairs.  He also is a great resource for going over used cars, and has saved several friends from getting into bad deals.  I appreciate that Michelle lets me know if maintenance is overdue.  I highly recommend their expertise and fair prices.”

“We highly recommend Cedar Falls Automotive!  They took wonderful care of us and our van over the New Years holiday weekend making our weekend essentially stress free!  Traveling from Yakima to Anacortes on Friday night, our water pump broke and we found ourselves broke down in North Bend at 7pm.  Called Cedar Falls, and they fixed it on Saturday, New Years Eve.  We were able to pick it up again on Sunday, New Years Day!  Amazing!  Thank You so much!”

“These are people you WANT to do business with.

Our son was on his way home from college on Christmas break and his car broke down at exit 32 off I-90 in Northbend.  The car got towed to them and they identified and corrected the problem within a couple hours. The invoice total was $0.00.  Can you believe that? Although the main problem was easily fixed there were alot of issues with the car that they could have addressed and taken advantage of us in the vulnerable state we were in.  We deal with around 50 vendors on a monthly basis in the business we are in and the service we received from Cedar Falls Automotive is definitely on the top. These are people you WANT to do business with.”

“Best in the NW!

“I moved here from Florida a year ago.  Drove my 99 Jeep all the way here, which now has 235,000 miles on it and is still going strong.  Needless to say I have a love affair with my truck and I am very picky about who I take it to for service.  I don’t mind driving the hour that it takes me to get to North Bend from Everett because I know that when I get there I will receive expert service at a fair price.  I did take my truck to one place before I took it out to Cedar Falls Automotive and they wanted to charge me nearly 500.00 to replace my rear end.  When Ken looked at it he said this wasn’t necessary, and what he fixed was a whole lot less and I haven’t had any issues with my rear end at all.  I also like the fact that I’m not getting charged for just having Ken take a look at my Jeep unlike other places who do.  So if you’re looking for excellent service at a great price I would highly recommend you try Cedar Falls Automotive.  Ken and Michelle take a lot of pride in being small business owners and I know they won’t disappoint.”

“I was driving home to Leavenworth from Auburn on a rainy, windy, cold night.  In fact I knew that it was snowing on the pass.  As I was getting close to North Bend I realized my left headlight was out and knew that I couldn’t continue given the weather without getting it fixed.  It was around 6pm on a Wednesday.  I went to an automotive parts store and got some business cards on potential mechanics in the area, but was told none were likely open.  Thankfully, Cedar Falls Automotive, although closed, agreed to fix my headlight.  They had the right headlight replacement.  It took very little time and I made it safely over the pass that night.  In fact I found three people who needed a ride to Ellensburg and knew they wouldn’t have much luck if I didn’t give them a ride, so Cedar Falls Automotive’s kindness also helped them get safely to Ellensburg that night.

Thank you again.  You not only are a good mechanic, but you are kind hearted people.

Thank you, thank you.”

“They … are super cool. My Jeep broke down on Labor Day Weekend and they were the ONLY ones available to fix it.  They had me back on the road in just a few hours.  Strongly recommend them!”

“I can’t say enough how helpful, kind, prompt, and professional I’ve found everyone at Cedar Falls Automotive.  They were honest when they couldn’t fix something (a very rare occurrence, I’m sure), and honest when they could.  My new-old Miata is currently awaiting a refresher, and the cost to replace a radiator, brakes, wheel hub assembly, and to do the 60000 mile maintainence is ridiculously reasonable.  More importantly, though, is that they get the work done right. Oh, and their dogs are awesome.   Seriously, people: if you need a car fixed in the North Bend/Snoqualmie area, you can’t ask for nicer people and more competent fixes.  Very reasonable, too.

My new clutch feels awesome!  Thanks so much for the great service and excellent replacement job!

“We had a great experience with Cedar Falls Automotive.

“They recently did the 30K service on our Nissan Murano, saving us over $200 from what the dealer wanted to charge AND did the work in four hours on a Sunday afternoon! We were very happy with the both the service and convenience and will definitely use them again. Highly recommended!”

“We consider this business and its wonderful owners a Godsend.

“We were driving from Seattle toward Moscow, ID on I-90 in pouring rain when our windshield wipers started going crazy and finally died. Fortunately, we were near an off-ramp, and found an O’Reilly’s store. The employee there looked at the problem and told us we had probably stripped a gear and needed a mechanic. He gave us the card for Cedar Falls Automotive and sent us on our way.

We called for directions, and when we got confused and lost, called again. Michelle stayed on the phone and got us there in spite of the fact that I was driving side-ways to look out the side of the windshield that was sort of working. We came prepared for a big problem, but within a few minutes, Mr. Wonderful Mechanic had tightened two bolts, made a couple of adjustments, and told us we were good to go. When we asked what we owed him, he said “absolutely nothing.”  I know a business can’t make a go of it by never charging anyone, but they certainly have created some good will, and I hope that others who live nearby will make good use of them.

May your business prosper!”

“You have a customer for life!”

I am writing to express how grateful we are for your wonderful service.  We had been taking our two family vehicles and several of my company fleet vehicles to another shop in town for almost two years – we had spent a good deal of money with them.  After my most recent oil change, I returned home and had a large pool of oil underneath my truck.  I took it back to them no fewer than five times to have them correct the issue – stripped threads where the oil pan drain inserts.  After the last time, I was told that they had done everything possible to try to save me money (over-sized drain plug, factory drain plug from the dealer, etc.), but the only option left was to replace the oil pan at a cost (to me) of $800 plus tax.  Needless to say, I was incredulous because I thought that their over-tightening of the drain plugs had contributed to the stripped threads.  The vehicle has only 145,000 miles on it, so I felt that their explanation that this is a wear item, and was to be expected, was unsatisfactory.   They even blamed whomever worked on the vehicle previous to them, even though they had probably done the last 6 – 8 oil changes.

It was about this time that I learned about your shop from a brochure that I found at a copy shop downtown North Bend.  You were able to re-straighten the threads, and change the oil, all while I waited, and you didn’t even charge me to fix the threads.  You saved me, tax included, about $900.  I cannot thank you enough.  Needless to say, you have a customer for life with that kind of service!”

“I had the most wonderful experience with Cedar Falls Automotive. They are AMAZING people. I’m from Spokane and I was driving over to Seattle before my last quarter of school started. The week before I left, my Camry had been leaking oil pretty badly, so I took it in to a local shop to get serviced and taken care of. Apparently, there was a leak in my oil gasket, which had also soaked and destroyed my timing belt. In addition, I also had to purchase a new water pump. My bill was around 1000.00 which is a lot for anyone, but especially a college student working part time.

So, believing my car was fixed, I drove to Seattle, ended up breaking down outside of North Bend.  Cedar Falls Automotive was the only shop open on the weekends, and right off the bat, I knew that they were good people.  Michelle, who is part owner with her husband, was so easy to communicate with in regards to the symptoms of my car, directions to the shop, etc.  When we arrived with the tow truck, she immediately opened the hood, and noticed a hole in the ENGINE.  Yes, the engine, and of course, there was oil leaking everywhere.  She informed me that there wasn’t going to be good news.  I really appreciated how honest she was about the whole ordeal because I did not experience that in Spokane.

My car was not drivable and obviously needed a new engine, but I decided not to go through with another repair because of the car’s worth.  The next day when I returned to pay for the junk yard and removal fee, Michelle told me there was no charge.  I still can’t believe it.  She and her husband understood the hell I had been through during those past 48 hours, and they didn’t care.  They are truly amazing and trustworthy people.  I recommend that anyone who has a car issue in that area GO TO THEM!!  I can’t stress the fact enough that they made my experience so much less stressful, and listened to my concerns rather than trying to get a buck out of me.  Thank you so much Cedar Falls Automotive!”

- Claire H., Spokane

“Kudos to Ken!”
“Ken was highly recommended to me by a friend when I first moved to North Bend five years ago. I have been going to him ever since. I trust him completely with my car, and he possesses that rare quality in a mechanic, honesty. Whatever car I own, it will always be taken to Ken. And, by the way, the new office is incredibly comfortable and Michelle, the office administrator, is wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable.”

- Lezlie Hall, North Bend

“Just a note to express our appreciation for all the service you give us! I brought the Camry home yesterday and vacuumed the interior and when I got around to the trunk, I noticed Ken had fixed (well, at least made less obvious) the big boo-boo I made in the rear bumper! That’s service above and beyond and we wanted to say “thank you, thank you”.”

– Chris Schrenk, North Bend

“I would like to thank you and your service department for being so helpful when I needed it most.  I was desperate to find a trusting mechanic in the North Bend area and was grateful to have found your business on the internet.  They say sometimes first impressions tell a lot about someone.  My first impression of you was one of understanding my problem and caring enough to take the time to answer my questions in a polite and friendly way…..

Needless to say, because of the reception I received, I referred my son to your business.  He was very pleased with the work that you did for him.

My son and I will definitely refer anyone who is looking for a trusting and good mechanic in the North Bend area to your place of business!

Thank you so much!”

“We found a great auto service repair shop in North Bend.  I am recommending it to everyone.  They completed the 120k service on my minivan and charged so much less than the dealer.  They made excellent suggestions and they worked on a Sunday and didn’t charge us more for it! Excellent customer service, price and work.  I recommend them to everyone.”

- Theresa Baker, Baker Insurance Group, Snoqualmie

“Ken and Michelle Reaves at Cedar Falls Automotive give auto mechanics a good name!  Not only is their work reasonable, timely and excellent, they worked with me when I was getting the run around from another car company.  Ken and Michelle made a personal appearance with my car at the company to discuss with them what the heck was going on.  It was far above and beyond–it was amazing.  I continue to recommend Cedar Falls Automotive to anyone who will listen.  Thanks Ken and Michelle.”

-Denise Paulette, Snoqualmie

“Thanks for your outstanding precise work on my Mopar (Dodge Dakota)!  I’m grateful to have found your mechanical duo.”

-Ryan Elton, Snoqualmie

“I am honored to take a moment to let others know how much we appreciate Ken and Michelle. I’m a tax lawyer not a car guy. When I have a car problem, I have to rely on Ken and Michelle to give me an honest diagnosis and professional opinion. They are not out to make a quick buck. They have saved our family and friends thousands of dollars in automotive repairs, because they care more about their customers than they do about the bottom line. Ken and Michelle are honest, professional, and hardworking people that will go the extra mile to make sure that your vehicle is running and running safely. Thank you both for all your help. “

-Tom Watson, North Bend

“I have taken my car to Cedar Falls Automotive in North Bend numerous times and the service is always great. The work gets done in a timely manner and at a decent price. Michelle and Ken are friendly and they know what they are talking about. They are a very reliable company.”

“Thanks for the awesome help!

I just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone how awesome Michelle & Ken are at Cedar Falls Automotive.

My truck’s radiator cracked while I was towing a 25″ travel trailer over the Snoqulamie Pass.  I was able to do a quick temporary fix to the radiator so that I could limp my truck into North Bend.  I immediately stopped at the nearest automotive store to price out a new radiator.  I had just finished taking a short vacation with my family, so I was short on cash.  When I purchased the radiator, I asked if they knew anyone who could install it ASAP and at an affordable price.  They told me I could call around, but Cedar Falls Automotive would be my best bet for both.  It was Sunday night, so I figured no one would be able to receive my call….. (come to find out I should have called right then.)  I rented a hotel room for the night and the following morning proceeded to call around to every shop and auto store I could find.  Either it would be 2 days before the radiator would be in (most shops won’t install previously purchased parts) or it would be 3 days before the shops could get me scheduled in.

I couldn’t afford missing that much work.  I called Cedar Falls and they said they could order a radiator and have it there the same day, and make the repairs as well.  I was more than relieved.  I figured they would charge me an arm and a leg for such promptness, but they were very competitive.  I told them I had already purchased a radiator and asked if that would be an issue.  They responded by telling me that it would not be a problem but they would not be able to warranty the radiator (makes sense, I bought it, not them.)  The auto shop I bought it from would warranty it though, so I was good to go.  Most shops said it would take 3 hours to install.  Cedar Falls had it finished in about 1 1/2 hours and charged me accordingly.  While they replaced my radiator they also inspected my truck for other worn items.  They told me it would be a lot cheaper to replace my serpentine belt now, as opposed to later because they already had the fan removed.  They showed me the belt, and sure enough, it was about to break.  I could have probably broke it with my own hands.  Ken really knows what he is doing when it comes to automotive repair.  He was able to save me time and money and prevent another breakdown (the serpentine belt.)  Michelle and Ken are good honest people who treat you more like family than a customer.  They actually care about what brought you to their shop and how they can help get you back on the road.

Cedar Falls Automotive saved the day in every way possible.  Thanks Ken & Michelle for everything!”

-Charlie L., Bremerton

“Recently, my truck had broken down in the parking lot at the local auto parts store, and Michelle from Cedar Falls Automotive happened to overhear my conversation with the store worker.  After I left the store and returned to my truck, Michelle pulled up alongside me and offered up her assistance.  When she saw something that concerned her, she recommended getting it inspected further.  Lucky for me that I listened to her advice.  I was headed back to North Idaho, and would have never made it.  My engine had suffered severe internal damage and was on its last leg.  Cedar Falls Automotive took great care of me and took the time to explain everything that was happening to my vehicle.  While I hope to never have to use them again, I know that I will be in caring capable hands if I do.  Thank you Cedar Falls Automotive!”

-Matt H., Couer D’Alene

“I have been around cars and mechanics all of my life.  My dad has owned a foreign car repair shop since I was 7.  My brother went to work for him @ age 13.  I never took an interest in working on cars, just driving the hell out of them.  After all, if they broke, my dad or brother would fix them.  After I moved away from home, I could not rely on their help any more, so I became a back yard mechanic – and a pretty good one at that.  I have a full-time job working on storm drain stuff .  I don’t always have the time, energy, expertise, or proper equipment to fix all of my cars.  I own a 1985 Honda and a 1992 Subaru; my son owns a 2001 Subaru, and my daughter drives a 2001 Toyota.  Oh, my son-in-law owns a Kia of some sort.  Ken at Cedar Falls Automotive has worked on all of them.  He is a good mechanic.  He is a perfectionist, & he is more than fair-priced.  I think the biggest thing I like about him is his honesty.  If the car doesn’t need it, he will tell you.  No unwanted or needless spending.  I’ve been around cars all of my life.  I know a good honest mechanic when I see one.   Thanks for letting me share.”

-Mike Sumner, North Bend

“We wanted to extend a sincere thanks for your professional service.  Our vehicle had been leaking oil for months and was in dire need of new valve cover gaskets.  We obtained two estimates prior to visiting your website.  Both estimates were significantly higher and neither shop would install parts we purchased.  Cedar Falls Automotive gave a very reasonable quote and had no issue with installing previously purchased parts.  When we also requested the spark plugs to be changed, the additional service was at a nominal charge.  We would recommend your service to anyone in need of quality mechanical service.  Thank you.”
